FOT-Inert Gas Suppression System

FOT-Inert Gas Suppression System

Fot-Inert ® is a specialized Clean Agent Fire Suppression System, utilizing IG55, IG541, IG100, and IG01 Suppressing Agents.

Fot-Inert® agent is a mixture of three naturally occurring gases: nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide. As Inert agent is derived from gases present in the earth’s atmosphere, it exhibits no ozone depleting potential, does not contribute to global warming, nor does it contribute unique chemical species with extended atmospheric lifetimes. Because Inert agent is composed of atmospheric gases, it does not pose the problems of toxicity associated with the chemically derived Halon alternative agents.

Description

  • Designed for IG55 (50% Argon and 50% Nitrogen), IG541 (52% Nitrogen, 40% Argon and 8% Carbon dioxide), IG100 (Nitrogen) and IG01 (Argon) agents
  • Gases are colourless, odourless, and electrically nonconductive with a density approximately the same as air
  • Inert gas effectively extinguishes all classes of fire (Class A, B, C) except metal fire. Inert gas is a self-propellent and does not require additional propellent.
  • Cylinder Sizes: 80 and 140 litres
  • Cylinders are constructed and marked in accordance to ISO 9809 standard with TPED directive (Pi mark) or accordance to ISO 7285 standard
  • Operating Pressure: 150 bar or 200 bar, depending on volume and concentration requirements
  • Releasing Device: Manual, Pneumatic, Electro-Magnetic
  • Available with Selector/Directional valves for protection of multiple areas with a common gas bank
  • FOT- Inert gas system comply with NFPA 2001 standard requirements
